Lets see what I have in the old use it up drawer...

I have a boatload of body mists and EDP samples (still) I'll work on the EDP samples some more. I'm not too worried about the body mists because I tend to use them much more in the Summer months.

This month I used a Moonalisa bath bomb from last summer's collection. It should never have taken me this long to use it. Indigo Ice made for a wonderful bath.

Moona - Black Mambo scrub
Moona - Dark Chocolate and Chocolate Orange body cremes ( use before Summer)
Grumpy Girl - Freak Show lotion
Lathers n Lights scrubs (3)
Candledippers buffin cubes in Frosted Lime Cupcake (looking forward to these)

Now as for wax:

That's a whole other story. My wax goal this month is to use up four of my clamshell melts...any four.

Empty the bakers dozen tart bags that only have one or two left in them. It's time to clear those packages out. They take up much needed space.

Burn at least two of the jar candles that I've been saving for a special occasion. Ridiculous. Every day is special, so I'm going to enjoy them.

I did a great job last month on getting rid of a ton of my stash-I actually ended up throwing some stuff out that had lost its curb appeal. I don't know what I am going to use up this month-but I did want to say that I have managed to merge two bathrooms and still have room for the towels in my new linen closet-woo hoo! I am so excited that I may just buy some stuff! Hee hee! Just kidding! I still have tons of stuff to go through and have a goal to get some of this darn perfume out of the stash-its my major Achilles heel!!!
Good luck this month, everyone...

I want to use up several thick lotions, as I know I won't want to use those in the summer. Too bad my Candledippers' Serenity is in that thick body cream. I plan to get that scent in something lighter for summer.
I don't mind saving most of my Moona chocolate cremes for next winter. I don't think it will go bad? Jules?

Boogie, you think the Moona creams will still be okay next fall? I sure would like to store them. It's already warming up around here. Does anyone know for sure?

Cat, good job squeezing two bathrooms into one. I don't know if I could do that at this point.

I have Moona Potion Lotions that are almost year old and they look, feel, and smell just like they did the day I got them - if anything the scents have intensified. I also have a jar of her Herbalist's Gold cream that is about a year old. I don't use it very often, but I just pulled it out to check and a tiny bit of oil had separated at the top. I gave it a quick stir with a plastic spoon and it looks and smells as good as new. I haven't tried any of her chocolate creams, so I don't know about those. Maybe e-mail Moo?

Good idea, Beatrix. I didn't want to bother Moo, but I think I will email. My potion lotions still look and smell like new. I'd like even more of them.

Great job,Suusje! Must make room for the BPAL. biggrin.gif

Jules, now that I think about it...if Moo uses real chocolate, that cream may start to turn before a year is out. Just going by the potion lotion isn't an accurate way to judge the shelf life of these almost edible creams. Have you emailed Moo?

Did someone say chocolate???
Yummy!

Great job on getting some stuff outta there Suusje!
I am plugging right along-using up some soaps, scrubs, perfumes, and facial products. I think I am doing okay and haven't even ordered anything at all this month. I have to pick up my dog in a little over a week, so I am using my budget for that instead of my other addictions. I think she's worth the sacrifice, and I have more than enough to tide me over!

Boogie, I actually forgot about asking. I just now sent an email to Moona. I'll post back when I hear anything.

I just got a note back. Moona says they should keep about six months. Keeping them in the fridge and scooping the cream out cleanly will ensure an even longer shelf life.

This is for the Moonalisa body creams, btw.

THANKS JULES!
If I keep it in the fridge, someone will end up eating it! I guess the potion lotions have a longer shelf life than the creams?

The body creams smell good enough to eat.

This morning I sorted through all the body mists, perfumes, and lotions on (and in) my dresser. I tossed a few and reorganized some others. I grouped them together by scent set so it will be easier to find things for layering.

I have a foody corner, a sexy corner, a Summer/tropical group and a Floral/Fresh group. We'll see how this works out. It makes sense, but it doesn't look as tidy and orderly as when I had all the mists together, and all the creams together.

It will bug me if it doesn't look pretty on top of my dresser.

Jules,do you plan to use the foody and/or sexy scents in the hot weather? I associate sexy with scents such as musk or perfume, and those scents tend to be heavier. Foody scents are also rich and deep so I put those aside until the weather cools. If you use mainly fresh and summery scents from now until the Fall, perhaps you can box the other stuff and make the dresser look more orderly and less cluttered.
Just an idea.........

Good idea, Boog. I don't usually wear much heavy cinnamon bakery scents in the Summer. I can put those away until Fall.
